Kala Chana Masala

Kala Chana Masala

Black Chana Masala or Black Chickpea Curry is a very simple but effective recipe using items from the dry store. You can of course substitute the Black Chickpeas for Normal Chickpeas or Dried Chickpeas that will need to be soaked the night before. I have never tried Black Chickpeas & were actually a recent substitute for another item I had ordered. Therefore, I looked up a recipe & found this on The Endless Meal. The Black Chickpeas are a little firmer with a nuttier taste and texture than traditional Chickpeas.

Remember if you cannot get some ingredients during this time, improvise with what you have.
